February 1, 2018.
My official start date.
I couldn't have done it without the support of so many people.
It has been an amazing month and it started off running. We have a new huddle meeting at Knollwood School in Fair Haven. A couple of students, their parents and, I met during February to pray together and talk about the work we would be doing. Superintendent Sean McNeil approved us to start on Thursday February 22nd and I almost missed my flight. Initially we thought March 1st would be the day, but Coach Reid, the faculty advisor at Knollwood (and RFH soccer coach) let me know that we could start a week early. With a flight out to Orlando that morning to attend the triennial FCA conference Realtime2018 - I decided to go to the huddle and risk having to drive a little fast up the Turnpike. It all worked out and we have been meeting on Thursday mornings since.
God has a way of confirming things He wants us doing and it is always good to feel like you're on the right track. Pieces to a number of puzzles have been falling into place the last few weeks and I feel very blessed in the work I'm getting to do. It's an exciting time and I want to thank all of you who are supporting me so I can do what I've been called to do. I wake up each morning with a hint of disbelief that I have it so good.
I'm continuing to work on this page and some of the process for keeping everyone updated. I hope to get a good rhythm going soon with this and I hope you will continue to pray with me for this ministry.
